We were founded in 1959 through the efforts of local historian Dorothy Marks McKelvey.  

Our Mission Statement:  

It is the mission of the Berea Historical Society to create an ever-expanding organization that will, for the present and the future, accurately reflect and preserve the history, significance and traditions of Berea and Old Middleburg Township.
