Early in 2023 we had a lot of work to do to prepare for our season opening. Every room needs a good polish, floors vaccumed, helping Karen our curator position items. I worked for 4 weekends and barely touched what needs done.
If polishing furniture isn't your cup of tea, we have so many other ways you can help us. Are you knowledgeable about something relating to Berea? Maybe you have family stories? You can contact us and we can help you publish articles. Our members love to hear family stories and interesting things we may not know. That's the beauty about history, it gets added as more information comes forward. Do you have a family heirloom? We can get pictures of it and tell the story in an article.
Do you have mad social media or web skills? We could use help with that also. Do you bake or make killer snacks? That would be perfect for our monthly events. Do you like to research? Maybe you like landscaping? We could also use help scanning photos. Our copier is now setup with Scan to email.
I can tell you, when I was polishing furniture, it was an EXPERIENCE! It was soothing, satisfying way to spend my time. I knew that it helped a wonderful non profit that relies completely by donation and memberships.
